Smoke Detector (Battery Operated)

Description

Single station 9V battery operated photoelectric smoke detector.
Designed to sense smoke that comes into the detector chamber and provides early warning of developing fires by way of alarm sound. It does not sense gas, heat or flame.
Device contains a light source in a light-sensitive electric sensor, which are positioned at 90-degree angles to one another.
Normally, light from the light source shoots straight across and misses the sensor.
When smoke enters the chamber, it scatters the light, which then hits the sensor and triggers the piercing alarm thereby providing precious time for persons to escape a fire.
Device typically responds faster to a fire in its early smoldering stage before the heat source of the fire bursts into flames when compared to an ionization type detector. CE , EN , SGS, NFPA 72 compliant.
